Georgia based Pinehurst MFG.  EPC and the inverter manufacturer have worked together for a photo-voltaic Solar power project for the textile company’s  honduran facility, as indicated by SMA through a statement.

The renowned sportswear company decided to incorporate a solar system into its facilities in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, for which it trusted Advanced Energy as the company in charge of the project.

SMA, who has more than 35 MW installed exclusively with SMA inverters, has again relied on the manufacturer to carry out the installation of solar inverters in the 1,687 KWp project, which involved installation of 4,440 solar panels and 21 inverters.

SMA has supplied its model SMA Sunny Tripower CORE1 62.5 KW achieving an estimated annual production of2,500,000 KWh.

According to the manufacturer, this model is a separate mounting string inverter for decentralized plants on roofs and on unused surfaces, the design of which allows up to 60% faster installation and also reduces operating costs.

Alberto Girón, director and CEO of Advanced Energy, reported that the company "has been working on the facilities we design and build with SMA inverters, and after 15 years, we have confirmed time and time again that SMA manufactures the most reliable inverter in the market".

With this new project in Central America, SMA maintains its leading position in the sector as one of the world's leading solar inverter manufacturers
