Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics Returns with Strengthened Focus on Performance, Sustainability, and Innovation

Shanghai, China – August 2026 – Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Autumn Edition 2026 is set to open its doors on 25 August at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), welcoming thousands of global industry players across three days of sourcing, networking, and trend forecasting.

Spanning 240,000 sqm, the edition will feature over 3,500 exhibitors from 30 countries and regions, organised under four key pillars: Fashion Forward, Performance Textiles, Sustainability, and Textile Future.

Organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT, and the China Textile Information Center, the fair will run alongside Yarn Expo Autumn, CHIC, and PH Value, bringing the full apparel textile value chain under one roof.

"As global supply chains continue to evolve, the apparel textile industry is seeking solutions that combine creativity, functionality, sustainability, and efficiency," said Ms Wilmet Shea, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd. "Organised around four key pillars – Fashion Forward, Performance Textiles, Sustainability, and Textile Future – this edition better connects buyers with trend-led, high-performance, circular, and digitally enabled solutions, enabling them to properly respond to market shifts and capture new opportunities from a comprehensive range of suppliers."

International participation remains a defining strength of the fair, with country and region pavilions from Hong Kong, India, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Taiwan, and Türkiye, alongside the France Zone.

New exhibiting nations including Côte d'Ivoire, Egypt, Nigeria, Norway, Sweden, and Thailand will further broaden buyers' access to both emerging and established sourcing destinations.

A major highlight of this edition is the upgraded Functional Lab, which responds to growing demand for materials that combine functional comfort with sustainability.

Centred around The CUBE, the zone will spotlight innovations across thermal regulation, moisture management, and protection, featuring exhibitors such as Burlington (USA), EMS-GRILTECH (Switzerland), and LOXY AS (Norway).

Sustainability efforts are further supported by the Econogy Hub, where buyers can use the Econogy Finder to identify verified sustainable suppliers and attend the Econogy Talk series.

The Textile Future pillar will be represented by the Innovation & Digital Solutions Zone, showcasing AI-powered tools and supply chain optimisation technologies.

Following its debut at the Spring Edition, the Pet Boutique will make its first Autumn Edition appearance, expanding into functional lifestyle applications.

To facilitate international business, a curated business matching programme will connect exhibitors with approximately 50 VIP buyers from 14 countries and regions, with around 330 pre-scheduled meetings arranged.

Nine international buyer delegations comprising approximately 180 delegates from Bangladesh, Italy, Türkiye, Vietnam, and beyond will also attend guided tours and dedicated matching sessions.
