The earth is facing numerous environmental challenges.

The answer to these challenges lies in every person and every company thinking about changing behaviour. And we can all play our part.

At Epson, we're focusing on changing the way we consume energy.

Switching to Heat-Free Technology, which uses no heat in the ink ejection process and delivers lower power consumption.

So when you're making your next printing choice, think about switching to Heat-Free Technology.

Turn technology to your advantage.

How One Small Change Can Have A Positive Impact On The Road To Net Zero

Epson has joined forces with experts at the University of Cambridge in a piece of research to better understand how printing can play its part in reducing the impact of global warming.

The research identified that to keep the world on track to achieve a net zero carbon future, the energy consumed globally by all appliances must fall on average by approximately 25% from 2020 levels by 2030, and 40% by 2050.

It also revealed that a worldwide switch across all laser and inkjet models would cut energy emissions by 52.6% and that inkjet technology can be up to 90% more energy efficient than laser technology depending on the type of printer.

Conserving Heat To Minimise Our Impact

As rising temperatures and melting permafrost are changing the landscape of the tundra, heat conservation is a great way to minimise our impact on the environment.

In this video, National Geographic Explorer and ecologist, Dr. Isla Myers-Smith, explains the effects of climate change on the tundra ecosystem, highlighting the importance of both large-scale solutions and the everyday actions of individuals as we look towards a sustainable future.

"It is critical that we understand the implications of Arctic greening. Choosing heat-free technology will lower energy consumption, minimising our impact on the environment."
