MEET DANIT PELEG: VISIONARY AND 3D FASHION ENTREPRENEUR
It’s not everyday that you meet a young Visionary! Meet Danit Peleg
Danit Peleg is just that…a female entrepreneur on a mission to create 3-D printed Textiles. Danit spotted the potential of 3-D printing early in her career, in fact her 3-D printed graduate project made major waves in the Fashion and Tech industries in 2015.
Following her graduation, Danit worked as an Intern in New York she aspired to create unique garments using print.
Easier said than done, and her first prototypes were slow to produce. Each garment taking over 24 hrs to print using 6 machines…
Thankfully her 2nd version printed at 3x the speed of the first and Danit then had a viable product to offer to the fashion Industry. Collaborating with the manufacturers it was clear that to create wearable garments the process required flexible filaments, so with the help of technical partners, thats what they created.
Over the last 3 years Danit’s work has been worn by numerous celebrities and continues to break the boundaries of Fashion. Partnerships have been an important factor in the products development and the most recent is with Gerber technology, whereby Danit uses the Gerber AccuMark software to design her garments pre-production.
Sustainability is a key element to Danits work, and there’s nothing more sustainably pleasing than printing your own favourite dress for that special event!…
Offering a 3-D printed dresses online was a world first!…
…and It’s no wonder that Forbes recently included Danit in their top 100 Fashion Innovators list, an incredible achievement.
As a sustainable supplier, Danit is carving a fresh new approach to Fashion, and is revolutionising the supply chain.
She predicts a future where Fashion is printed and made on demand as singular items, worldwide.
But unusually, she predicts that the buyer will buy a pattern online and print the garments in their own homes using 3-D print technology.
Danit and her team continue to break down the boundaries with their creativity, and are constantly researching and collaborating to develop new technology and materials.
As a natural collaborator, Danit is sharing her experience and she now offers online courses in 3-D printing via her website. You can find out all about those on her website below…
