The update is designed to make it faster and easier for designers, garment technicians, and manufacturers to move from concept to production-ready pattern, without the friction that has traditionally slowed the early stages of garment development.
At the centre of the relaunch is Pattern Flow, a new guided path through the site that takes users directly to the builder. Rather than searching for the right starting point, customers can begin building their garment immediately, streamlining the journey from idea to design.
Pattern Room has also introduced a new sampling service. Once a pattern is built, customers can now order a first sample made in fabric from Pattern Room's own workroom, allowing them to check fit and proportion before committing to sourcing fabric or engaging a factory. This removes a longstanding pain point in the development process, where businesses have historically needed to purchase a finished garment and post it to a pattern maker, or rely on guesswork sheets to communicate design intent.
The platform has also expanded its style offering, adding new woven styles including jackets, pants, skirts, shorts and shirts, alongside additional knit styles across the existing range.
