In this 3-part series we discover and explore the benefits of Epson SC-R5000 digital printing technology, a machine that utilises environmentally friendly process and resin inks for wallpaper production.
The series features two design creatives, Katja founder of Elli-Popp a design practice that specialises in customised wallpaper design for the residential and hospitality markets who commented “Digital opens up my creative options giving me infinite scale”. And Charlotte, founder of Charlotte Jade an online lifestyle brand offering beautiful furnishing products including wallcoverings “Digital printing is essential to me because it allows me to capture every detail” Charlotte explained. Each discuss their businesses and how they utilise digital technologies within their design practice.
The series filmed in the demonstration centre at the Epson HQ in Hemel Hempstead also draws on the experience of Phil McMullin, Head of Sales, Commercial and Industrial at Epson UK Ltd, who shares his insights on market shifts and the future of the industry:
“Change in the wallcovering sector is being driven by digital technology, and the desire for customisation and personalisation. Everybody is looking for something different – something exclusive” Phil explained.
Giving technical support we also talk with Paul Restarick, Pre-sales technical at Epson UK Ltd, who shares his print knowledge and expertise. Paul commented “Creatives can use Photoshop or Illustrator to design their artwork digitally and then replicate on multiple materials – canvas, and wallcoverings using the SC-Epson R5000”.
