About The Job

As a Junior Designer, you will play a crucial role in supporting our design team and contributing to the creation of our diverse range of print-based products. Working closely with senior designers, you will have the opportunity to work on various projects across different categories.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Work with the Head of Design and Design team to deliver seasonal trend packs for both fashion and home.

• Print design - develop new seasonal prints

• Assisting with the seasonal licensing product design process for some categories, under guidance of the senior design team, providing inspiration and design direction and ensuring trend pack key looks are captured.

• Contributing to print and colour direction for homeware and fashion

• Work with Master Licensees in Japan & Korea completing product approvals

• Completing research of the Laura Ashley Archive for new print inspiration

• Supply design resources to licensees including colour palettes, print grids, master CAD prints, Pantone references & master samples

• Assist in the development of inspiration packs

• Support design team with administration, approvals and sample management

• Category awareness – competitive shopping for fashion categories

Key Skills/Proficiencies

• Kaledo design system

• Adobe Creative Suite; InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator

• Microsoft office suite

• Google suite

Personal Attributes:

A degree or diploma in Textile Design, Surface Pattern Design or a related field.

Strong conceptual and creative thinking abilities, with a keen eye for detail.

Passion for print design and an understanding of different printing techniques.

Basic knowledge of garment construction and materials is a plus.

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.

Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while managing multiple projects simultaneously.

A portfolio showcasing your print design skills and creative abilities.
