[JOBS] ASSISTANT TEXTILE DESIGNER : BODEN

Boden, the best-of-British clothing brand, today announced an opening for an Assistant Designer to join its Softs team, reinforcing the company's ongoing commitment to creative, customer-focused design and a supportive, values-driven workplace culture.

The role calls for an ambitious and energetic designer with a genuine passion for feminine design and a keen eye for print, pattern, texture and embroidery.

Based primarily at Boden's North Acton office, the position offers an established Assistant Designer the chance to deepen their ownership, confidence and expertise within an inspiring and collaborative environment.

Working closely with the Senior Designer, the successful candidate will collaborate across Design, Buying and Merchandising to bring creative product to life.

Responsibilities include creating embroidery and artwork packs, applying knowledge of woven dress construction and finishing techniques, and managing PLM processes such as uploading tech packs, artworks, colours and setting up BOMs.

The role also encompasses overseeing trims, strike-offs, artworks and lab dips, supporting colour palette creation and management, and maintaining seasonal Miro boards and garment range boards.

Boden is seeking a candidate with a flexible mindset, resilience to change and a positive, enthusiastic attitude towards every aspect of work.

Excellent CAD skills, including Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, are essential, while PLM experience is preferable.

Applicants should hold a BA (Hons) degree in Fashion Design, Print, Illustration or Textiles, with sufficient DAA experience, alongside a strong interest in colour, print and aspirational brands.

The opportunity reflects Boden's distinctive approach to how its teams work together.

The company champions simplicity, clear communication and follow-through, paired with a culture of kindness, honesty and high standards.

Team members are encouraged to take ownership, lean on one another and deliver results collectively.

In return, Boden offers a competitive salary and targeted annual bonus scheme, a generous clothing allowance, and a 30% discount on all current clothing ranges.

Additional benefits include 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays, a virtual GP service for employees and their households, free onsite parking, a subsidised café and access to an online portal with a range of retail and entertainment discounts.

The position is based at Boden's North Acton office four days per week, with one day from home, and flexibility to work five days on site during busier periods.
