We have an exciting opportunity for a recent graduate to complete a 12 month placement within our Next Home design team - within the Print & Pattern department.

About The Team

This role will support the Print & Pattern team. The team design and develop pattern for all home products including textiles, hard goods, kids, beauty & gifting. Taking responsibility for everything from initial trend direction through to generating original artworks including all over prints and character design.

About The Role

• Provide pattern support throughout the whole design process. This may include Trend research, generating artworks, recolouring vintage pieces, briefing artwork to factories.

• This role is very print heavy - and will rely a lot on the use of generating original hand paintings and drawings which will be scanned and manipulated within Photoshop to create original patterns.

• Provide administrative support to the Design Team, taking responsibility for tasks such as day to day department requests, colour matching, archiving fabrics and logging samples.

About You

• A passion for drawing and painting original artworks

• Ability to adapt your handwriting to design for different customer types

• Experience and Ability to work with Photoshop

• Strong communication skills, you will be capable of working well with other teams and building productive relationships.

• Highly self-motivated.

• Strong interest in fashion & Home and awareness of trends.

• Confident presentation skills
