The six-month fixed-term position requires a visionary designer capable of contemporising the brand’s nostalgic ethos while rigorously adhering to modern ethical practices.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the critical path, ensuring that all new print repeats, placements, and colourways meet the diverse needs of international markets.

By blending vintage influences with forward-thinking commercial trends, the designer will help secure Cath Kidston’s position as a thought leader in the lifestyle sector.

Applicants are expected to possess proven designer-level experience within a lifestyle or heritage brand, underpinned by exceptional hand-painting, illustration skills, and Adobe Creative Suite proficiency.

The role demands resilience, exceptional organisational skills, and the ability to collaborate dynamically with cross-functional teams and external partners.

Ensuring ethical supplier relationships from concept to execution will be paramount to the role, reflecting the company's commitment to humane and responsible manufacturing processes.

To ensure the appointed innovator can immediately impact the brand’s trajectory, NEXT will provide a comprehensive onboarding programme focused on design systems, critical path tracking, and supplier networks.

Candidates must submit a digital portfolio demonstrating a sharp eye for the future of lifestyle print design and showcasing the commercial viability of their work.

Flexible working arrangements, including a hybrid schedule of three days onsite and two days remote, are offered to support a balanced and modern working environment.
