Macclesfield, England – August 2026  – Adamley Textiles, a long-established textile mill based in Macclesfield, has announced the opening of a full-time, on-site Textile Designer position to cover an 18-month period of maternity leave.

The role presents a significant opportunity for a talented designer to contribute to the production of screen and digitally printed fabrics for the luxury global market.

The successful candidate will work closely with Adamley Textiles' experienced design team to develop and refine textile patterns and prints.

Responsibilities will include researching industry trends, conducting market analysis, and presenting design concepts to clients, all while upholding the high-quality standards for which the mill is known.

Candidates must hold a degree in Textile Design, Fashion Design, or a related field, and demonstrate proficiency in design software, including Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.

Strong creativity, meticulous attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team are considered essential qualities.

Prior experience or internships in textile or fashion design will be viewed favourably.

Given the factory's location, applicants are required to hold a valid driving licence. The position is based entirely on-site at Adamley Textiles' Macclesfield facility.
