[JOBS] ASSISTANT PRINT DESIGNER : SEASALT CORNWALL
FALMOUTH, CORNWALL – Seasalt has announced an opening for an Assistant Print Designer based in Falmouth, reinforcing its commitment to leading the fashion industry in sustainable and ethical practices.
This twelve-month temporary contract, designed to cover family leave, represents a vital opportunity for a forward-thinking design professional to join a team dedicated to creating elevated, timeless, and commercially successful print and colour concepts.
The new Assistant Print Designer will play a critical role in this mission, taking responsibility for the technical execution, research, and seamless translation of print and colour stories from concept to production.
By working closely with mills, printers, and factories, the successful candidate will review strike-offs and bulk approvals to ensure all products meet the highest standards of quality, craftsmanship, and sustainability.
The daily responsibilities will involve creating original, hand-rendered, and digital print designs that align with the brand’s signature aesthetic and seasonal direction.
The designer will prepare precise repeat patterns, placement print layouts, and colour separations while managing crucial approval processes.
Furthermore, the role demands a proactive growth mindset to ensure that print applications beautifully complement fabric characteristics, drape, and wearability, ultimately contributing to a cohesive visual storytelling experience across campaigns and lookbooks.
Seasalt is seeking a creative individual with a keen eye for detail, possessing relevant experience in sustainable textile production, surface design, or fashion design.
As part of the Seasalt Connected approach, the role offers a flexible hybrid working model, requiring four days a week at the Cornwall head office locations alongside remote work.
In addition to a salary of up to £28,000, the comprehensive benefits package includes thirty-four days of annual leave, private medical schemes, enhanced family leave policies, and paid volunteering opportunities, reflecting the brand’s humane and supportive ethos. Applicants are required to submit a portfolio alongside their curriculum vitae.
