[JOBS] TEXTILE PRINT DESIGNER : VIVIENNE WESTWOOD : LONDON
The Print/Textile Designer will be part of our Design team, reporting directly to the Head of Graphic Design / Senior Manager. The successful candidate will work in our head office based in Battersea, London.
Main activities and responsibilities (shared within the print design team):
Working for Vivienne Westwood Main line – womenswear and menswear all-over prints and print placements.
Designing artworks for both woven and printed accessories and soft accessories using relevant software as well as developing artworks “by hand”
Designing and developing prints for our Asian licenses
Designing and developing prints for Bridal and Couture department
Working closely with the Creative Director and Design Managers
Presenting research, ideas and designs for new artworks reflecting seasonal themes and brand handwriting, following the Art Director’s seasonal brief
Re-working, digitalising, recreating and re-colouring existing archive prints
Following artworks through to final stages of approval; specification sheets
Following creative directions and finding appropriate solutions
Keeping up to date records and efficient archiving prints produced seasonally and producing seasonal overviews.
Profile and skills:
A positive, friendly and out-going team player prepared to collaborate effectively with team members, but also self-motivated and able to work individually
Ability to effectively share/ take over project with/from fellow team member(s)
Ability to take initiative and ready to self-challenge
Good planning and organizational skills, excellent time management, flexibility, efficiency under pressure and ability to correctly prioritise is essential
Great communication skills
Strong attention to detail
Great knowledge of various production and textile printing techniques: jacquard, screen printing, digital printing etc
Efficient use of Adobe CC
Clo3D knowledge - an advantage.
