Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Brands fashion team who design, buy and manufacture licensed brands for Next. This role would be based in our London office at Glen House on Tottenham Court Road.
Here you will work collaboratively with our licensed partners and designers to help assist and design considered and creative all over prints, graphics and branding predominantly for Childrenswear. From researching the latest trends to presenting concepts you’ll work hard to ensure we produce outstanding print and graphics for our product that reflects the brand values and aesthetics.
We are looking for an experienced assistant print and graphic designer who has ideally worked within the Children’s sector for part of their career. You must be technically competent and have previous experience of working with a variety of print and graphic techniques across different supply bases.
About the Role:
Support the designers producing new, innovative and well executed all over prints, graphics and branding for our multi product branded collections
Help to design commercial products in keeping with our various customer profiles working closely with factories and trim suppliers
Create thorough and accurate print and graphic Tech Packs for factories
Research and communicate the latest trends and techniques working closely with the designers to react quickly within season to new trends and sales intelligence
Manage the day-to-day organisation/admin tasks within the print and graphics team
About You:
Highly creative and enthusiastic assistant designer who is eager to learn and work collaboratively with the team to successfully develop great product
You have a real passion for designing prints, graphics and branding for our multi product branded collections
You’ll have great attention to detail and an adaptable and versatile handwriting, with the ability to work across a variety of product, age ranges and genders with good commercial awareness and a comprehensive understanding of trends.
You’re adaptable and resilient to change and thrive on working in a fast paced environment with a real passion for product
You’ll have a good level of experience and be skilled in producing prints and graphics using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator from initial concept to final Tech packs
Excellent communication and presentation skills
