[JOBS] TEXTILE PRINT DESIGNER : GYMSHARK

We're on the lookout for a talented Print Designer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will design, create and develop captivating print and patterns for menswear, womenswear and accessories, spanning across our cut & sew and seamless products.

Collaborating with Senior Designers to translate creative direction into stylish visuals, conduct insightful research on athlete and consumer preferences, and mentor junior designers on our graphics team. Responsible For:

• Designing and executing seasonal print and pattern for our Gymshark products including all-over prints and jacquards

• The creation of original print artwork as well as maintaining information of the evolution of those designs through the season

• Managing print strike-offs with materials partners. Measuring and giving feedback on submissions form print vendors.

• Partnering with Senior Designers and wider Design team to ensure that the Creative Direction is captured at a style level

• Conducting research on athlete and consumer needs and tastes alongside seasonal trends

• Identifying areas of improvement to the current process and suggesting new and better ways of working

• Confidently presenting seasonal designs to Gymshark senior leadership

Accountable For:

• Delivering print projects on time according to the Critical Path and in line with the Creative Direction

• Translating design concepts into physical product alongside your development partners

• Pushing yourself to learn new skills and apply them where appropriate to improve yours and the teams output

• Delegating projects/tasks to Junior Designers to help improve productivity and support overall team development

What You'll Need: Essential Skills:

• Education in Design (BA, BFA, BS)

• Have an outstanding portfolio demonstrating a versatile handwriting with experience working on apparel print and pattern

• Ability to deliver against design direction against agile timelines in a design led environments and possess strong attention to detail

• Ability to identify and execute key trends for the season and are able to storytell

• Experience in designing print and pattern for apparel across multiple execution solutions and different product types

• Experience working with local and overseas suppliers to deliver commercially approved prints

• Strong ability to communicate within a team and cross-functionally

• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign

• Comfortable presenting work to key stakeholders and senior management and a willingness to challenge and be challenged

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with seamless products

• Experience in Excel and other Microsoft platforms

• Knowledge of 3D design software

This is a hybrid role and would require the successful candidate to attend at least 3 days a week in GSHQ, Solihull, UK.
