[JOBS] TEXTILE PRINT DESIGNER : FLEX APPAREL LONDON

Flex Apparel LTD is an established and well respected Jersey and Woven's supplier to several High Street brands and retailers.

We are looking for a Textile Print Designer to work across multiple areas including Women's sleepwear, Women's casual-wear and Menswear.

You will be...
• Researching and designing all over prints, placement prints, embroideries prints for all product areas
• Designing commercial prints, updating best sellers and ensuring newness at all times
• You will have a strong ability to identify key print trends and present to the team
• Working closely with garment designers and customer buying teams
• Liaising on a daily basis with our factories in the Far East
• Preparing artworks and sending out print packs, colour standards and technical information to our factories and print mills
• Re-colouring existing prints into seasonal departmental colour palettes
• Excellent drawing and painting skills
• Great ability to be able to follow a brief as well as developing own trends
• You should be organised, focused and have the ability to undergo multiple projects at the same time, ensuring critical path and meeting deadlines are met
• Attend and participate in customer meetings, be confident in offering opinions and print knowledge

You will need....
• Minimum 5 years experience within a similar role, supplier or retailer
• Good understanding of print techniques and processes
• Computer Skills: Photoshop, Illustrator and Microsoft Suite
• Strong commercial handwriting and ability to work across a variety of mediums
• Brilliant time management
• Ability to communicate confidently, effectively and appropriately with colleagues, customers and our wider team in the Far East
• Knowledge of critical paths and lead times
• Strong team player, with the ability to initiate and maintain relationships
