About The Job

We are offering an exciting opportunity to work as one of our in-house print designers in our North London office.

We are a womenswear supplier looking for a fashion driven, pro-active candidate who will be able to develop key skills to grow within the fashion industry.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who has some experience working for a print studio/supplier or retailer.

You Will Be..

  • Researching and designing all-over prints for a variety of our different customers including main-range womenswear, nightwear and beachwear.

  • You will have a strong ability to identify key print trends for the seasons ahead.

  • You'll draw influences from a wide range of sources - from Instagram, shops, vintage micro trends through to seasonal global and catwalks - you will drive print newness through print shop reports/trends regularly.

  • Offering constant quick response print newness to the design team.

  • You'll also have a good knowledge and understanding of working with print studios and print mills, along with excellent colour technique.

  • Working closely with our in-house design team, you will demonstrate excellent agility, working well under pressure, identifying trends and delivering them at speed.

  • Reacting to sales and design information you will work closely with our in-house print designer designing commercially relevant fashion-forward prints, updating best sellers and ensuring newness.

  • Proficient in both digital design and hand-painted, able to create all over-prints in repeat and vintage print reworks.

  • You’ll go on regular development days to visit the highstreet/vintage shopping trips to gather information and print newness.

Qualifications:

We'd Love To Meet, Someone With:

  • Computer Skills: Must be proficient in Adobe Photoshop/Illustrator.

  • Previous experience in designing for a High Street retailer/supplier/print studio.

  • Ability to work across a variety of mediums. Have strong drawing skills as well as digital with a multitude of handwritings.

  • An eye for fashion forward-thinking and print direction/colour.

  • Works well in a team with good time management and resilience.

  • Ability to communicate confidently, effectively and appropriately with colleagues, mills, print studios and customer meetings.
