[JOBS] TEXTILE DESIGNER CLOTHING – HOME BARGAINS

Having started more than 40 years ago in Liverpool our customers continue to be at the heart of everything we do and throughout our 550 stores we have over 4.5 million customers each week.

With plans to increase our store portfolio to 1,000 stores throughout the UK we are a fast-paced retailer opening 50 stores a year (nearly one every weekend) - and we wouldn't have it any other way!

Role Responsibility

  • Work on textile clothing ranges

  • Create designs, technical packs, mood boards and engaging packaging from up-to-date market trends

  • Communicate with manufacturers

  • Review pre-production submissions, ensuring the finished product is to a high standard

  • Ensure the smooth running of the approval process, continually identifying where process improvements can be made

  • Identify key trends through competitive shops

The Ideal Candidate

  • Minimum 2:2 degree in design or equivalent

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar design role or at a high street fashion retailer

  • Excellent design CAD skills

  • Robust understanding of garment construction

  • Robust understanding of print and manufacturing processes and limitations

  • Excellent knowledge of Photoshop and Illustrator on MAC OS

  • Computer proficient

  • Experience of working on licensed ranges is advantageous
