[JOBS] TEXTILE DESIGN INTERN : THE ROMO GROUP

LONDON – February 2026 – The Romo Group is pleased to announce an exciting opening for a Design Intern to join the Kirkby Design team in London.

This six-month paid fixed-term contract offers a unique opportunity for a high-achieving textile design graduate to gain hands-on experience within a market-leading interior textile brand renowned for pushing the boundaries of contemporary design.

As Kirkby Design continues to expand its influence in the textile industry, the brand is seeking a proactive and organised individual to support the smooth operation of its busy design studio.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Design and Brand Manager and the wider design team, assisting with a diverse range of tasks including trend research, colour palette creation, and the preparation of mood boards.

This role is designed to provide comprehensive industry exposure. Beyond general administrative support, the intern will have the opportunity to contribute to creative processes, assist with event and exhibition planning, and shadow senior team members during mill sampling meetings for fabrics and wallcoverings.

It represents an invaluable stepping stone for emerging talent passionate about contemporary interior design to work alongside established professionals.

Kirkby Design is looking for candidates who demonstrate high creativity and strong organisational skills.

Applicants should be educated to degree level, ideally holding a First in Textile Design or possessing relevant industry experience.

Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator is essential, alongside the ability to work flexibly and collaboratively within a dynamic team environment.
