[JOBS] TECHNICAL PRINT DESIGNER—TEMPERLEY LONDON

The role of the Technical Print Designer is to develop beautifully hand-crafted print designs across all Temperley Collections, working closely with the Design team, pattern cutters and the Product Development team.

The TPD will be responsible for ensuring that commercial and creative brief is met, according to the range plan, costs and critical path.

Responsibilities

• Print placement files from proto through to Production

• Ensuring that all files sent to print are mill ready (with support from Textile Design Assistant)

• Ensuring colour calibration across print bases

• Colour separating and cleaning files across all stages of development

• Provide knitwear artwork CADs

• Colourways

• Background in designing lace and jacquards and support Manager with CAD artworks of fabric developments

• Support with scarf designs

• Support with day print ideas and print research direction

• QC Checking print panels on arrival for colour/printing & design faults

• Attending engineered print fits

• Support with embroidery CADs to assist during busy periods of swatch artworking The Ideal Candidate

• An ardent interest and passion for luxury Print Design

• 2/3 years’ experience in a similar role in addition to a University degree in a relevant field • Intuitive creative abilities with highly developed taste level and sensitivity to colour balance

• Affinity with brand ethos and eagerness to see the vision of the brand being realised.

 • Team orientated as well as an ability to work individually.

• Sound technical knowledge of print design practice and techniques, and eagerness to learn processes involved in creating best product possible.

• Multi-tasking in fast paced environment.

 • Excellent CAD experience and skill

• Excellent photoshop skills, Illustrator a plus

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

• Ability to prioritize, multi-task and adapt to change

• Understanding and appreciation of Temperley London design handwriting

• Extremely organized and detail-oriented - excellent calendar adherence and ownership
