Clarke & Clarke are excited to be recruiting for an experienced Textile Designer to join our Design team in Bolton on a 6 month contract basis.

We are looking for a creative individual who has proven experience within textile design in the Interiors sector. You will be an individual who is driven, motivated and confident at working at pace in an office based position.

The role of Senior Designer will involve:

Keeping up to date with fashion, trends, design and production techniques
Undertaking research for ideas and inspiration
Experimenting with colour and texture
Producing design ideas, concept boards to present internally and externally
Liaising with customers/brands and interpreting their ideas and needs accurately
Liaising with commercial, marketing and technical staff as well as design colleagues
Liaising with oversea suppliers on product development
Producing designs using computer-aided design (CAD) software
Managing workload in line with a critical path
Involvement in packaging, photography and brochures alongside graphic designer
Working to budgets
Attending and exhibiting at trade shows
Managing accounts and special projects

If you would like to be considered for the position of Senior Textile Designer, you will have the following skills and experience;

Proven experience within a Design role in the Textile and Interior Design sector is essential
Be artistic/creative and be able to predict new trends
Have an eye for colour, texture and pattern
Have good attention to detail
Have a strong knowledge of the market and be passionate about fabric/wallpaper design
Have good communication skills
Adaptable to meeting the ever-changing demands of the business
Experience in developing fabrics
Have good organisational ability and be able to work to deadlines within a budget
The ability to work in close collaboration with colleagues and the design manager
Have good CAD AVA Adobe skills
Have proven experience in a similar role
