[JOBS] SENIOR PRINT DESIGNER – ULTIMATE CLOTHING

A highly successful garment supplier to the high street and supermarkets are looking for a talented and experienced Senior Print Designer to join their team on a temporary contract.

Working with the Head of Design, you will be responsible for creating print and trend across all womenswear accounts.

The Senior Print Designer must have a high level of commercial awareness as responsibilities include drawing and designing with the catwalk/Instagram in mind, whilst also meeting the demands of the customers.

Furthermore, the designer will be monitoring samples, liaising with overseas factories and attending customer meetings, therefore require strong communication skills.

You must have a minimum 5+ years experience working on womenswear prints for high street retailers, an amazing portfolio, a good eye for colour and an ability to work independently.

A candidate with a diverse handwriting would be very advantageous. Strong Photoshop skills are essential and a passion for design is a must for the role of Senior Print Designer.

Tasks, Duties & Responsibilities

  • Designing commercial trend led prints with the customers/catwalks/Instagram in mind.

  • Strong technical print knowledge.

  • Proficient in Photoshop – used to working in a fast-paced environment.

  • Responsible for creation of print concept boards for design presentations.

  • Exceptional presentation and communication skills

  • Liaising with the buyers, sales and mills. Creating technical specs and checking artworks ready to send to factories.

  • Liaising with factories, logging in any lengths and sending out any customer requests to the mills.

  • Maintaining print collection ready for office customer meetings.

  • Organising and maintaining the print archive with the Junior Print Designer.
