Founded by Creative Director Mira Mikati in 2015 - Mira Mikati (the brand) has gained a cult following with street style starlets and style-savvy celebrities with its timeless silhouettes, dedication to colour, and tactile showcases.

Collections of carefree-meets-cool designs span the realms of playfully gamine and candidly feminine—all while channelling inspirational undertones hatched from art world collaborations with personal idols like KAWS, Darcel, Jack Pierson, MR, and Javier Calleja, adventure-filled travels, and a resistance to the idea of sartorial conventionality.

The infectious, whimsical spirit is reflective of Mikati’s own ultra-upbeat outlook on life.

Mira Mikati is looking for a Senior Designer / Creative Design Manager to work in a very dynamic and international environment.

Working on 4 collections a year, and some special projects and collaborations, the role is permanent.

Responsibilities:

Provide design and development consultancy across categories to execute and transform design ideas into garments, delivering the brand aesthetic and commercial value.

• Conduct research on collection themes. Review and expand the mood board and colour board.

• Attend fabric fairs. Advise on fabric and trims selection,

• Review designs, make design decisions and build a coherent collection.

• Research and explore how the company can implement sustainable practices by improving the design and development process with suppliers and factories.

• Review workflows, identify issues and optimise design and sampling process.

• Review and help with setting up range plans each season.

• Advance new categories and push forward collaborations.

• Provide technical support to the design team on both design and development.

• Train new starters.

Qualifications:

  • Several years of experience success leading a design team for a luxury fashion brand.

  • Experienced leader.

  • Communicator and confident presenter.

  • Strong experience as a designer at a senior level.

  • Technical knowledge and a great understanding of textile and materials.

  • Excellent knowledge to fabrication and sensibility to colours and textile embellishment.

  • Able to work on different collaborations out of the RTW.
