[JOBS] JUNIOR TEXTILE DESIGNER : LIBERTY FABRICS LONDON

We have a truly exciting opportunity for a Junior Textile Designer to join our Liberty Fabrics team!

This role’s main focus will be to assist in the development of our printed fabric collection for the crafting market.

You will be working closely with the crafting designer, developing our own range of printed fabric collections aimed specifically at the quilting and crafting community.

We are looking for someone who has a great eye for colour and detail and has excellent drawing skills as well as being able to redraw and interpret archive designs.

Key accountabilities:

• Assist the designer on the creation of original designs for the collection.

• Redrawing and interpreting archive designs as well as creating new painted / drawn artwork.

• Creating colourways based on seasonal colour palettes.

• Communicating with our print mill on design trials and launching new collections.

• Preparing artwork and print outs to send to our printers.

• Ensure all artwork and colourways are developed in line with our critical path.

• Creating look books and presentations for meetings i.e. boards and digital pdfs.

• Designing products and assets for photoshoots that utilise our fabric collection.

• Working with our in-house graphics team on marketing and packaging material.

• Assisting with the development of haberdashery products as and when needed i.e. sewing boxes.

Personal qualities and experience:

• 1-2 years industry experience designing textile prints for fashion or interiors.

• Exceptional handwriting and drawing skills.
