[JOBS] HOMEWARE SURFACE PATTERN DESIGNER : B&M RETAIL

We are currently looking for an experienced Surface Pattern Designer, overflowing with ideas and keen to work in an extremely fast paced department.

This opportunity would be perfect for a creative individual who is interested in working within a growing, FTSE100 company.

This role offers a huge opportunity to get involved in a wide range of different projects as our B&M Surface design team covers an incredibly diverse spectrum of product, so if you are agile, flexible and passionate about Design, this could be the position for you!

The role will involve:

• Working on hundreds of ranges, with a variety of styles covering textile, homeware, gifts and craft.

• Creating pattern designs and presenting new ideas

• Supporting the Senior Designer to translate new ideas into real product design

• Liaising and building relationships with our Buying team

• Remaining up to date, anticipating future market trends and designs

• Ensuring projects are completed on time

Essential requirements are:

• BA (Hons) degree in Textiles/Design or illustration

• 3 years+ experience working as a designer in a homeware capacity

• Working knowledge of CAD programs: Adobe illustrator & Photoshop

• Ability to work at pace and manage multiple projects concurrently

• Highly diverse and creative portfolio with multiple styles

• Commercial awareness

• Able to communicate at all levels and present ideas

• Passionate about design

• Team player with a positive and can do attitude!
