GRADUATE DESIGNER - HOME TEXTILES AT NEXT

Leicester - Enderby  : 36 Hours p/w  : £19,294 p/a : Closes : 22nd April 2019

We have an exciting opportunity for a 2019 graduate to complete a 12 month placement in our Home Design team to support with general studio duties to ensure the smooth running of the department.

About the Team:

This role will support the downstairs textiles team who work on: curtains, rugs, cushions, wallpaper and upholstery. The team design and develop new ranges, taking responsibility for everything from design concept through to technical development and product selection.

About the Role:

• Provide support throughout the whole design process from planning new ranges through to product selection.

• Collate design research, source colour palettes and prepare and update design boards for each season as required.

• Assist with the production of design packs where required.

• Provide administrative support to the Design Team, taking responsibility for tasks such as: day to day department requests, colour matching, archiving fabrics and logging samples.

Criteria

About You:

• Strong communication skills; capable of working well with other teams and building productive relationships.

• Highly self-motivated.

• Strong interest in home product and awareness of interior trends.

• 
  Skills and Qualifications:

• Currently studying towards a degree or equivalent in Textile Design or similar subject.

• Intermediate user of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Microsoft Office suite.
