SALES ACCOUNT MANAGER : DIGITAL PRINT MACHINERY

Purpose of the Role

  • Achieve the company’s unit and revenue plan

  • Manage all aspects of the sector sales channel, ensuring that there is a level playing field and minimising conflict where necessary

  • Ensure the delivery of robust reseller account management activities

  • Assist reseller partners with the selling process when necessary and be proactively involved in onsite demonstrations and customer follow up

Key Tasks and Accountabilities

  • Proactively contact customers following up sales enquiries from the website, telephone, exhibitions and open days

  • Prequalify all machine sales leads regardless of source and provide advice and suggestions to end users before passing leads to the appropriate reseller with all relevant details complete

  • Liaise with the Showroom Manager to arrange customer demonstrations and participate in demonstrations when needed

  • Create and produce creative, inspirational samples and customer samples when needed

  • Support site surveys, installs and product training when required

  • Review the CRM data for trends that indicate where additional assistance is required both to resellers and end users

  • Work closely with the resellers to ensure that the key market/competitor information is collated

  • Liaise with COM & marketing to suggest promotion, campaigns and messaging

  • Liaise with COM & marketing to identify any relevant event or exhibition where promotion of the Mimaki product range is required

  • Maintain and develop personal and professional relationships with all of the company’s resellers, partners and customers across all market sectors

  • Work closely with the other reseller account managers to achieve cross over sales and additional opportunities.

  • Communicate within all levels of Hybrid and the reseller channel effectively

  • Always provide the best customer experience to both external and internal customers

  • Day to day management of the pipeline and sales forecast

  • Attend industry exhibitions and external events such as reseller open days etc

  • Ensure that the CRM database is clean and relevant

  • To understand an overview of the whole Mimaki product range and where the products fit within the different sectors in which Mimaki operates

  • Health & Safety – adhere to and promote company H&S procedures to help maintain a safe working environment

  • Any other duties relevant to this role

Person Specifications

  • Customer centric “can do” attitude

  • A proven track record of B2B sales success in a competitive environment

  • Experience of successful channel management

  • Good understanding of Mimaki, complementary and competitor products

  • Understanding of the various markets in which Hybrid operates

  • Experience in bringing new products to existing markets

  • Experience in bringing existing products to new markets

  • Be seen to be the “specialist” - know where to find the answers to all questions

  • Demonstrate knowledge of both competitive and market place information

  • Willingness to travel nationally & internationally which will involves regular overnight stays

  • Ability to multitask and prioritise work flow

  • Ability to communicate effectively and exceed customer expectations

  • Competent at administration tasks

  • Highly flexible with the ability to manage multiple deadlines with high workloads in a high-pressure environment

  • Maintain a self development program. Constantly strive towards professional growth in sales skills, business skills and product knowledge

  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.

  • Must be comfortable working towards agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s)

  • Evidence of a successful customer service ethos, preferably with experience of service level agreements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills together with a high degree of computer literacy

  • Strong interpersonal skills – collaboration, teamwork, conflict resolutions

  • Confident and highly persuasive across all levels of the organisation

  • Team player who can cope with a high work load and significant pressure
