We are currently looking for an experienced and exceptional Print Designer to join our Sleepwear and Lingerie Team.
You will be part of a function that is responsible for delivering outstanding print design across our lingerie and sleepwear department.
We are looking for someone to drive the print design strategy in this exciting and specialised category.
With an eye for detail you will find creative solutions using print technique to drive incredible aesthetic and value without compromising style.
You will work as part of an enthusiastic and fast paced team, delivering beautiful and contemporary print solutions across the BU. It’s a really exciting place to be!
Key Accountabilities and measures
Create and drive the print strategy for the category e.g. Sleepwear
Deliver Print across Sleepwear and Lingerie
Research print trends as appropriate, identifying key looks and driving these through the process
Collaborate with other print designers through Forums and best practice
Identify and deliver key print looks across the department through the seasonal Design Briefs
Deliver prints through the product development process to deliver confident print statements
Deliver all print requirements to meet BU critical path dates
Deliver to consistently high standards of print concept to tech pack ready artwork to send to Sourcing Office via PLM
Respond to evolving trends e.g. catwalk to ensure the print offer looks modern and stylish for the customer
Close links with creative print studios and suppliers as appropriate to tap into latest trend looks
In depth and up to date knowledge of print techniques used within the industry to deliver the best product linking into the appropriate Fabric Development Technologist
Work hand in hand with Designers to ensure the prints meet the aesthetic requirements if the product considering scale, fabric substrate and price point
Develop prints into repeat and scale to be production ready
Utilise proficiency in Design IT applications to optimise the quality of design work e.g. Photoshop, illustrator, CAD, Kaledo etc
Collaborate with Print Designers across Clothing and Home to make best use of resources including archive and bought studio print artwork
Key Skills
Expert in the field of print design and printing technique, with significant print design experience in a sleepwear or lingerie role.
Strong Communication, influencing and leadership skills
Strong sleepwear handwriting, with a focus on contemporary conversational and slogan work
Ability to identify key print looks/trends and translate into stylish, commercial prints across multiple products and substrates
High level of proficiency in Design IT applications to optimise the quality of design work e.g. Photoshop, illustrator, CAD
Multi task orientated with the ability to work to tight deadlines to the critical path
Challenge print handwriting and push boundaries within the BU
