[JOBS] ASSISTANT PRINT DESIGNER - DEBENHAMS

 Our highly successful Childrenswear Division is seeking a passionate and talented Assistant Print Designer to work across girlswear covering the toddler, older girls and teen departments.

 If you have a creative, fun and diverse eye for print design and relevant experience in Childrenswear we would love to hear from you.

 Within this role you will have responsibility for directing and supporting Blue Zoo print. 

 You will work alongside the Designer in order to identify key trends and produce new and exciting designs for the area. You will have the ability to interpret trends into directional, commercial product for our customer.

 Naturally you will also work closely with the buying teams and contribute towards the whole design process.

 What you will bring…

 You will currently be an Assistant Designer looking to further your career within Childrenswear design.

 You will have established industry experience and possess excellent communication skills to be able to build good internal and external relationships.

 We’re seeking a creative individual who’s handwriting is contemporary and fun with a touch of quirkiness!

Your illustrative skills will cover all over prints, placements, characters, slogans, conversationals and florals (not licensed characters). 

 Advanced Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop skills are essential as is an excellent understanding of print techniques.

 You should be a textile or illustration design graduate with a passion for Childrenswear. 

 Industry experience within a retailer or supplier is preferable.
