About The Job

We are seeking a dynamic and talented Apparel Designer with Graphic Design experience to join our innovative team at Pentland Brands, specifically working with the Canterbury brand.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the design and development of cutting-edge sports apparel that resonates with athletes and sports enthusiasts globally.

The Role You’d Play:

• Apparel Design: Create innovative and trendsetting designs for sports apparel, ensuring they align with Canterbury's brand identity and market expectations.

• Graphic Design: Develop captivating graphics and prints that enhance the visual appeal of the apparel, taking into consideration current design trends and technical specifications.

• Trend Analysis: Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments, and competitor offerings to ensure Canterbury remains at the forefront of sports fashion.

• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, marketing, and merchandising, to bring cohesive and market-appropriate designs to life.

• Prototyping and Sampling: Collaborate with Product Development in the prototyping and sampling process to ensure the final product aligns with the initial design concept and meets quality standards.

• Technical Knowledge: Demonstrate a strong understanding of garment construction, materials, and manufacturing processes to create designs that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing.

What You’ll Bring:

• Degree in Apparel Design, Fashion Design, or a related field.

• Proven experience in apparel and graphic design, with a portfolio showcasing a range of successful designs.

• Proficiency in graphic design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop).

• Strong understanding of sports apparel trends, materials, and manufacturing processes.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
