[JOBS] DIGITAL TEXTILE PRINT DESIGNER : ADAMLEY TEXTILES

We are a long established traditional textile mill located in Macclesfield producing both screen and digitally printed fabric for the luxury worldwide market place.


We are currently looking for a full time or part time creative, enthusiastic and self-motivated person to join our existing design team.

 The role will involve the technical development of digital work so that we are able to print this to the highest quality.


Key Responsibilities


Technical Digital:


• Using Adobe Photoshop to manipulate artwork ready for the digital print stage.
• Taking initial creative drawn artwork from our archive and get them ready for final products.
• Taking customers artwork at various stages and re present them ready for digital printing
• Separate and colour artwork matching digitally printed colours to our in house colour book and/or pantones.


Digital Printer:


• Training on the digital printers is key for any technical designer. Knowing the ability of the printer and the production process is vital.
Technical Screen engraving:
• Drawing designs to screen parameters, working with Production to ensure that designs are suitable for screen printing. This includes separating, mixing, and cutting designs
• Sending designs through to the Screen engraving department, checking that designs are technically correct
Other duties:
• Aiding the design studio with any potential creative projects that may be available including drawing from the archive or creating new artwork.

Skills Required


• Excellent technical ability with a keen eye for detail
• Good knowledge of Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator is essential
• Experience of NED graphics packages preferred (although not essential)
• Digital colourist skills or experience
• Ability to work to deadlines and briefs
• Confidence in presenting ideas to both sales and customers
• Creative Hand drawn / digital illustration skills
• Numeracy skills essential
