[JOBS] ASSISTANT PRINT DESIGNER -WOMENSWEAR : NEXT LEICESTER

We are looking for an experienced, dynamic, driven yet collaborative Assistant Print Designer who will help to push our fantastic quality and design forward within the Womenswear team.

We are looking for someone with a proven skill set within print design using hand drawn/painting techniques ideally or a great experience within the Adobe suite. We are wanting to push the current print portfolio further - so please consider fresh, trend driven designs when submitting your portfolio! 

About the Role 

• Collaborating with the buying and design teams across the Womenswear department. 

• You will be involved in creating the print designs to be used across all the womenswear product areas. 

• The role is fast paced and requires great creativity, communication and organisation.

• Research and communicate the latest trends and colours, to the team so these can be planned and developed into the ranges at the relevant time

• Produce creative, well executed print designs that tastefully represent these trends

• The ability to work effectively with short lead and long lead deadlines with an awareness of critical path.

About you:

• Creative and enthusiastic designer with a real passion and drive for designing and developing great prints

• Proven experience of print design across multiple product areas within womenswear, preferably gained in a fast paced commercial environment. 

• Strong communication skills; capable of working well with other teams and building productive relationships.

• Highly organised with good prioritisation skills to be able to work to set deadlines.

• Show initiative in all aspects from teamwork 

Specific skills/qualifications & requirements:

• Qualified to degree or HND level in Fashion Design or similar subject.

• Competent user of both Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.

• Experience of working with product, preferably gained in a fast paced commercial environment.
