The Role
We are looking for a Designer to build on the Textile vision. Reporting to the Head of Design; you will have a strong creative vision and autonomy to make a difference.
Your role is to design the product and work collaboratively with your colleagues at MADE to deliver the products to achieve our commercial targets.
This is a fixed term contract for 12 months, based in London and you will need to be in the office for 3 days a week.
The Day To Day Will Include:
• Category management; Textiles (Rugs, Cushions, Bedding etc), Colour Pallet (across departments), Upholstery Fabrics.
• Pulling together briefs and direction trend boards to steer vision of the brand and presenting these to the Head of Design and Head of Brand.
• Working closely with the Buying team to design products that fit into core and trend, ensuring the option count target is achieved.
• Using your technical experience to stretch design and capabilities with our factories.
• Strong and effective communication, building and maintaining relationships with the MADE brand and Next teams.
• Preparing decks and presenting regularly in meetings confidently and collaboratively.
• Working closely with our Production Lead to drive your categories to launch with success.
• Planning your own travel to factories and inspiration locations.
• Managing external projects such as Collaborations and Partnerships.
• Working in line with the agreed critical path to ensure the product launches on time.
About You
You will be an experienced designer in textile categories with a strong understanding of manufacturing techniques and materials.
Highly creative and passionate about design, you are open to challenging the norm and bringing fresh ideas to the table.
You will confidently present to senior leadership and communicate effectively both internally and externally.
With extensive experience in trends, interiors, and identifying new opportunities, you will prioritise and balance multiple projects while adapting to the dynamic demands of a commercial environment.
