[JOBS] ASSISTANT TEXTILE DESIGNER : MARKS & SPENCER

We are currently looking for a hardworking Assistant Designer to join our Homeware team working on Textiles, across Bed, Bath and Softs.
The role is to support the team in delivering timely, commercial product deliverables, for example through research, trend work and textile design.

What you’ll do
Your key accountabilities will include
Work alongside the JD / Designer to deliver the global product direction for Textiles, across Bed, Bath and Softs.
Use product knowledge to source images, compile and layout Design Product Strategy (DPS) boards, identifying relevant trends.
Collaborate with the Designers to meet critical path deadlines and deliver the right designs, at the right time.
Support the Designer to deliver Design Briefs to Indirect Suppliers when required.
Create CAD’s using photoshop / illustrator to show true representation of product for range reviews and PLM tech packs.
Who you are
Your skills and experience will include
Previous Home Design experience within retail space.
Strong design and CAD skills with an eye for detail
Knowledge of trend interpretation, current competitive marketplace, and product design
Experience in briefing and specifying direct design sourced product, working with Technology/Design and Buying to create high standards of Tech Packs.
High level of proficiency in Design IT applications to optimise the quality of design work e.g., Photoshop, illustrator, CAD.
