If you like the sound of that, then you could be right for an exciting new role in our Innovation team.

Our Print Innovator will lead Macro print direction by researching and forecasting trends and creating original designs to inspire both the home and clothing teams.

With a passion for print the Print innovator will live and breathe surface pattern.

Working in collaboration with the Macro forecasters and Textile innovator supporting the creative delivery of print /pattern innovation, to drive the Design Strategy and share a vision of the future.

  • Think as an influencer – be adventurous and brave – explore new ground

  • Support the innovation work interpreting the wider macro trends delivering new direction in response to lifestyle trends, customer attitudes and behaviours

  • Show strong knowledge of design techniques and can create accomplished print design in a variety of mediums

  • Predict the right creative directions in a timely way in- an extremely competitive and fast changing landscape, to stay ahead of the competition

  • Interpret colour and be experimental with its use

  • Work collaboratively within the Innovation team and the Designers – creating the right trends with relevant timing

  • Keep agile to keep ahead and advise the decision making

  • Confident communication sharing direction and designs with the wider product teams

  • Explore new and exciting channels for inspiration 

More about you:

  • Degree or equivalent experience within the creative industries study sector

  • A proven track history in surface pattern creation in mixed medias and pattern trend forecasting

  • Recent relevant design experience with a minimum of three years working within the creative industries in a comparable print/surface pattern design and development role

  • Relationship management and time management skills are critical

  • Confident communicator

  • Commercial awareness and proven creative ability

  • Customer, Market and trend knowledge

  • Photoshop /Illustrator /Indesign to a high standard

  • Critical path management
