We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Print Designer to join our team.

This experienced individual will lead the print strategy within the team and drive our brand forward through research, identifying and interpreting trends.

The successful candidate, with direction from our Creative Director, will create innovative and inspirational print designs for our womenswear range that are balanced and reflective of our Thought handwriting.

This opportunity will suit an individual who is extremely passionate about designing prints for womenswear fashion.

They will enjoy creating print designs from the initial brief stage. They will have in-depth hand painting and freehand drawing experience along with their own unique and creative style that will blend cohesively with our Thought style!

In This Very Important Role, Your Key Responsibilities Would Be:

·Ensure that prints and patterns are thoughtful, unique, and inspirational designs as well as consistent with our business strategy and brand aesthetic.

·Creating prints via hand painting and free hand drawing, plus via Photoshop/illustrator.

·Actively engaging in seasonal research for themes and prints to help establish and maintain a clear seasonal design direction in prints. Referencing unique and authentic sources for inspiration.

·Demonstrate a continuous research of current and emerging trends in print and pattern relevant for our brand.

·Producing print designs that successfully deliver on a brief based on seasonal themes and business strategy whilst also contributing new and dynamic ideas.

·Creating artworks to the highest technical standard using clear and original repeats, colour separation, a confident understanding of print techniques and garment construction.

·Communicating all artworks in a clear and consistent way to suppliers and production team, using accurate and informative guides and artworks to ensure design vision is met. ·Ensure print and pattern concepts are aligned across each product category from design to production.

·Collaborating successfully with junior print designer to balance workload and ensure all deadlines for your area are met in accordance with critical path.

·Assisting senior design in critical path management for your area. Utilising clear and timely communication and problem solving to ensure deadlines are maintained.

Close collaboration with the senior designer, the buyer and production to ensure business objectives are met. ·Undertake colour research alongside designers to generate a fashionable and commercial seasonal colour palette.

·Working collaboratively with junior print designer to maintain an accurate working colour palette. Ensuring that all print artworks utilise and guide the lab dip process.

·Present design concepts and designs to the Creative Director.

Skills And Experience:

·Proven experience in a womenswear Print Design role.

·Strength in a multitude of skills such as hand painting, free hand drawing etc.

·Strong understanding of print techniques and supplier capabilities

·Highly creative and with the ability to build on inspirations.

·A good sense of colour and experience in compiling trends.

·An ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines.

·Excellent knowledge of Adobe and CAD packages.

·Confident with using Photoshop and Illustrator packages,

·Able to develop prints with a confident, fashion forward handwriting.

·High level of commercial awareness.

·Experience in designing own prints from concept to artwork.

·Versatile with ‘can-do’ attitude – able to work and deliver to challenging deadlines

·Natural collaborator and can work within multidisciplinary teams

·An interest in sustainable fashion production and eco fabrications is advantageous

.·Educated to degree level in a Design discipline would be advantageous.

·Well-developed interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly and sustain positive, collaborative relationships.

·Will be based in or around London.
