This is a great opportunity for an experienced Menswear Print Designer to join the Derek Rose team for a Maternity Cover contract.

Sitting within the Design team and working very closely with the Head of Creative and Womenswear Print Designer, you will play an integral role in contributing to the direction of the design concepts each season and designing prints for Resort, Sleepwear, Leisurewear and Underwear collections.

The Role:

• Working with the Head of Creative and Womenswear Print Designer to create the seasonal concept / colour stories

• Designing prints and managing them through the submission and strike off approval process

• Designing placement and repeat prints for the resort, underwear, leisurewear and sleepwear collections Designing yarn dyed jacquards and stripes for sleepwear

• Creating technical artwork sheets to go to the mills

• Liaising with overseas print houses and mills to ensure quality standards and deadlines are met

• Presenting to stakeholders at all key stages throughout the development process

• Contributing to seasonal training sessions

The Candidate:

• 4+ years’ experience working in a Menswear Print Design role at a luxury level

• Strong understanding of print techniques and placement guides

• Strong hand drawing and painting skills

• Ability to design commercial and contemporary prints in a variety of styles and using varied media Advanced Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop and Indesign skills

• Highly organised and an effective communicator

• Good understanding of a workroom environment and ability to adapt to different situations

• Experience working with luxury fabrics

• Must be a team player and able to work under pressure calmly
