We are looking for a Print and Graphic Designer to cover maternity leave, working within our wider design team, focusing on developing our Monsoon Children’s print range from concept stage to production, working across multi product categories
You will be …
Researching current and future trends for print and graphics to drive newness and keeping to the monsoon handwriting, creating mood boards and sharing ideas with the rest of the team.
Working alongside the buying teams reacting to sales information on your categories. Problem solving for the department and designing commercially relevant prints and graphics.
Proactively respond to the changing needs of the business and the day-to-day challenges to ensure delivery of the product ranges to the customer
Researching and designing the print for multi product categories
Sending out print packs, colour standards and artworks to suppliers in line with the critical path
Managing the delivery of print Critical Path
Proactive in identifying departmental print needs and helping to drive newness
You’ll draw influences from a wide range of sources – from Instagram micro trends through to seasonal global trends and catwalks
You should be organised and focused, adhering to the critical path to meet deadlines, ensuring product is developed within the relevant timeframe

Computer Skills: Photoshop, Illustrator , CAD
Previous experience in designing for an aspirational brand or a similar High Street Retailer
Previous experience working across print categories
Ability to work across a variety of mediums
Strong commercial handwriting and understanding of the Monsoon Children’s brand customer
Fashion forward-thinking and directional trend print eye
Brilliant time management and resilience
Ability to communicate confidently, effectively, and appropriately with colleagues, suppliers, wider team & senior management
Previous print design experience for a childrenswear high street retailer is beneficial
Good hand painting skills and the ability to be versatile and adapt to a variety of styles. Evidence of this in portfolio is essential.
Have an excellent eye for detail and colour
Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and work in fast moving and reactive business with multiple deadlines
Be able to work automatously as well as in a small team
Excellent computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator)
