Accessorize are excited to be looking for a Print Designer to join their inspirational Print Design team to help create commercial and innovative design for Accessorize. You will assist your Senior Print Designer and support the department in designing, developing, and sampling an original and innovative range in line with the critical path, brand handwriting and business objectives.
What will you do as a Print Designer?
Trend research and Sourcing – assist in identifying seasonal trends as appropriate for the brand including key fashion profiles, colours, fabrications and must haves for the season. Contribute reference material for the department to use throughout the season. Identify trends and highlight to the Senior Print Designer
Creative inspiration – assist in compiling strong reference material, including researching and compiling mood boards and colour palettes/ analysis
Where required, assist in the planning of the Critical Path for product areas, ensuring effective communication with Suppliers and relevant team members
Produce and create design briefs within area
Responsible for meeting the critical path deadlines, highlight issues and provide solutions
Work with Designer/ Senior Designer through a department or individual product brief to ensure that designs are produced for a comprehensive and commercial product range
Ad hoc travel may be required to conduct product development and inspirational trips
Able to collate and edit catwalk information specific to department and brand
What will you need to succeed as a Print Designer?
Keen interest in a career in design and a passion for fashion
Creative and technical ability to support the design of multi production selection
Good understanding of components and a basic knowledge of construction and manufacturing
Multi-channel awareness
Ability to use CAD as well as freehand sketching and designing
Collaborative approach to range development with understanding of buying, merchandising and technical functions
Self-motivated, enthusiastic and an ability to work under own initiative
Confident and articulate communicator with an ability to build strong relationships
Ability to deliver to tight timescales and work under pressure
A good eye for colour
Ability to demonstrate an understanding of ‘brand handwriting ‘
Experience of supervising junior members of staff
