[JOBS] PRINT DESIGNER – HOMEWARE : LIBERTY LONDON

The Role

As a Home Designer you will work as part of the Design team in order to create stunning seasonal print collections in interesting colourways, relevant to the brand and market.

You will look after the Liberty London home products - e.g. top of table (napkins tablecloths etc) and top of bed (cushions etc).

Integral to your role is ensuring the classic Liberty print collection keeps its heritage, yet offers diversity and freshness.

The Designer role, reporting into a Lead Designer will in addition to designing, carry out CAD tasks and have responsibilities for the re-colouring of our archive designs.

Key Accountabilities:

• Carry out research for the seasonal collections following the brief from the HOD under the guidance of the Lead Designer

• All tasks / responsibilities actioned to be in line with the critical path

• Creating artwork and colourways in Photoshop and illustrator

• Producing AVA colour ways and repeats

• To provide coherent and clear information about your prints to be sent to the factories via the Studio Manager

• Developing archive designs in repeat and appropriate colourways.

Other

• This role on occasions may require some late night and weekend work in order to meet the needs of the business. Travel locally and overseas may be a requirement on an ad-hoc basis (trade shows/ factory visits).

• The Designer role within the Design Studio in addition to the above may also include involvement on external partnership projects and / or bespoke projects.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Experience with printed and woven home textiles

• Proficient knowledge of CAD packages and computer programs such as Photoshop.

• Exceptional handwriting and hand drawing skills.

• Knowledge of AVA would be beneficial. ( training will be offered)

• Relevant experience within a interiors / home design textile studio.

• Strong interest in art and culture and homewear.
