[JOBS] TEXTILE PRINT DESIGNER : EDINBURGH WEAVERS

Due to continued growth Edinburgh Weavers wish to recruit a highly creative, commercially aware Textile Designer, specialising in prints.

Our handwriting is unique, expressive, forward thinking with a fashion pulse.

The successful applicant will have the following skills

• A good appreciation of fashion and the arts

• An ability to create and translate a sophisticated colour palette from diverse sources

• Be conversant with AVA software

• To have a logical approach to both taking and issuing a design brief

• Technically proficient

• Determined and eager to succeed with a positive attitude

• Possess and be able to articulate high standards of presentation

• Be able to work at pace and deliver to deadlines

• A minimum of 2 years work experience

The position will involve the following

• Creating, separating and colouring designs

• Delivering to specific customer briefs on a project by project basis

• Liaising with both suppliers and customers

• Visiting overseas exhibitions

• Deciphering and interpreting trends

• Elevating product presentation in all fields, including photography and packaging

• Maintaining exacting records of development work

• Working within budget and negotiating costs appropriately
