Job Description

Our award winning Childrenswear department have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Print Designer and Coordinator to join their team.

Working within the Girlswear division, you will play an integral part in researching new and exciting print and graphic trends, and with the support of the product designer translate into exciting product. 

This role involves working closely with Designers, Buyers as well as Licencees for Character prints, so the right person must be able to multitask as well as operate at lots of different levels. 

About the Role: 

• Design for our Girlswear collections, producing new, fashionable and well executed print and graphic designs including character.

• Works closely with the Design Manager.

• Research and communicate the latest trends to the Childrenswear team.

• Coordinates briefs across the Print Team and Garment Designers.

• Create excellent branding that is relevant to our various customer profiles.

• React quickly to mid season changes and developments whilst ensuring everything you produce reflects the Next brand values and design standards.

About You:

• Highly creative with a real vision for designing print and branding for our Girlswear collections.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• Experience of producing print and graphic designs, including character, by hand and using CAD in a fast paced commercial environment.

• Previous exposure of the design process working from concept through to technical development and product launch.

• Able to hand draw

• Highly skilled in using Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator
