[JOBS] MENSWEAR APPAREL DESIGNER : GYMSHARK

Are you our next Menswear Designer? We're looking for someone to join our Apparel Design team, to help design, create and develop Gymshark product under the guidance and mentorship of the Senior Designer and Head Of Design.

The design team unite the community through products that are related to the functional needs and aesthetic tastes of the consumer.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

• Executing seasonal styles for Gymshark

• Responsible for both creation of the styles as well as maintaining the information of the evolution of those styles through the season

• Partner with your Senior Designers and Design team to ensure that the creative direction and design direction are captured at a style level

• Understanding of and incentivised to explore and research athlete/fitness needs and the male form in order to communicate design and fit intent in fittings with your development partners

• Ability to deliver against design direction, on time.

• Work with junior designers to mentor and develop them whilst challenging those more senior in the team

• Constantly push yourself to learn new skills and then where appropriate apply them to improve yours and the team's output. You may be supported by a junior on projects to which you will need to delegate tasks to

• Continually suggest new, different and better process improvements in the way you are working for the Design process

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• Education in Design (BA, BFA, BS, or equivalent)

• Experience working in design led environments and working with product design teams

• Experience in designing apparel collections and different product types

• Strong ability to communicate within the team and cross functionally to get your message across in a constructive manner

• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Excel, and Microsoft platforms

• Understanding / experience in 3d technology is an asset

• Attention to detail

When normal office working resumes, our expectation would require candidates to attend at least 3 days a week in GSHQ, Solihull, UK.
