Junior Designer

The Junior Designer is required to make a significant contribution to the design and production of Milliken’s logo mats working closely with the Sales and Customer Services team.

The individual will contribute to the design and development of mats bearing the logo of our customers.

Knowledge

• An understanding of creative and print production processes. Knowledge of textile printing is an advantage.

• Preferably with good, Adobe Illustrator (strong pen tool would be an advantage) and Adobe Photoshop knowledge.

• Precise layout skills with an exceptional eye for detail.

• Translations of customer’s artwork and feature text on a coloured background.

• Experience working with wide range of fonts.

• Technical support for enquiries from our Sales team

• Good interpersonal skills.

• Able to work on numerous projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with frequently changing priorities.

• Intuitive, fast computer operation.

• Ability to self-start and work independently.

• Resourceful with natural ability to communicate directly face to face and lucidly via email.

• Ability and desire to contribute to the design team.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

• Capable of designing and building professional, impactful layouts reproducing exactly to customer specifications.

• Enthusiastic, flexible, reliable, capable of working alone or as part of a team and be able to demonstrate a genuine desire to learn.

Academic Qualifications
Preferably but not essential a degree in graphic design.
