[JOBS]  GRADUATE HOME TEXTILE DESIGNER : NEXT

Leicester, UK – March 2026 – Next, one of the UK's leading retail brands, has opened applications for a Graduate Designer specialising in Home Textiles.

The 12-month fixed-term contract, based at Next's Leicester headquarters, offers a full-time opportunity for a driven and creative individual to contribute to the brand's acclaimed home products range.

The role sits within Next's Product Team and is focused on designing and developing original patterns across a broad spectrum of home categories, including textiles, hard goods, children's items, beauty, and gifting.

From initial trend research to the creation of finished artworks — encompassing all-over prints and character design — the successful candidate will be involved at every stage of the design process.

Candidates will be expected to demonstrate exceptional hand-drawing and painting skills, alongside proficiency in Adobe Photoshop.

The ability to adapt a personal creative style to a variety of customer types will be central to success in the role.

Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach are equally important, as the designer will work closely with the wider design team on tasks including colour matching, fabric archiving, and factory briefings.

Next is seeking a self-motivated individual with a genuine passion for fashion and home design, and a sharp awareness of emerging trends.

The position offers a salary of £26,728 per annum, with core working hours flexible between 8am and 6pm across a typical five-day, on-site working week.

In addition to a competitive salary, the successful candidate will benefit from a comprehensive package that includes a 25% staff discount across Next, MADE, Lipsy, Gap, and Victoria's Secret, a company performance-based bonus, access to an on-site nursery rated Outstanding by Ofsted, free on-site parking, and a range of health, wellbeing, and financial support services.

Early VIP access to sale stock, discounted gym memberships through Wellhub, and access to staff restaurants are also included.

Candidates who require visa sponsorship to take up the role must meet the UK Home Office's Skilled Worker visa eligibility requirements.

Further information is available at gov.uk/skilled-worker-visa. Next encourages early applications, as the recruitment process commences immediately upon advertisement.
