Printed Textile Colour Separation Artist
We have an exciting opportunity for 2 people to join our busy studio team, where you will be working directly with customers to develop their designs for printing in our onsite factory.
Ivo Textiles is a leading textile manufacturing company based in West London and is proud to have been printing fine textiles and wallpapers in the UK since 1963. The majority of our work is in furnishing fabrics and wall coverings for many market leaders as well as contract commissions for palaces, embassies, private houses and hotels.
The job role will involve creating screen ready artwork and separations for many brands and industry clients. The candidate will join a fast paced and busy design studio working on creative and versatile designs for the textile industry. The role is an excellent opportunity to strengthen CAD skills and broaden knowledge on screen and digital printing processes within a production environment, working to live briefs from a variety of customers.
These roles would suit someone with a love of interior textiles and knowledge of textile printing methods. The candidates will also need to demonstrate good organisation skills with the ability to handle multiple projects within time driven deadlines. The roles require excellent drawing and CAD skills as well as excellent communication skills which are required to liaise with our clients and the production department.
Knowledge of AVA is an advantage but not essential as training will be given.
Salary: Competitive & dependent on experience.

Job Duties Include But Are Not Limited To;
· Carry out full colour separations on clients artwork according to brief, using CAD software. This includes preparing artwork to specific printing processes and offering design options to clients
· Advise customers on practical and cost effective print production.
· Dealing with customer enquiries; taking design briefs; preparing quotations; arranging meetings etc.
· Checking digital files for print readiness.
· Advise screen and digital production coordinators of new customers’ colour match requirements.
· Outputting films for flat screen printing and check films for repeat.
· Ordering rotary screens from external supplier.
· Schedule screen engraving and liaise with production for priority.
· Liaise with relevant departments for other production requirements or to arrange any screen remakes and sampling.
· Be on hand for any sampling queries and support customers as needed.
· Completing any paperwork and administrative tasks relevant to the role.
· Ordering stocks/supplies for studio and screen making as required.
· Keep studio area clean and tidy.
· Supporting other departments as needed to ensure customer needs are met.
· Additional hours may be required according to business demands by arrangement.
· Carry out any other role as reasonably required by the company.
Qualifications And Experience
· Essential: relevant professional qualification, ie. BA in Design Textiles.
· Essential: knowledge and experience of computer aided design.
· Essential: knowledge of screen printing
· Essential: customer service experience.
· Preferred: experience of managing design/artwork projects and liaising with customers.
· Preferred: knowledge of AVA however training will be given if needed.
