This is an exciting and rare opportunity to join the in-house wallpaper design team at Henderson Design Group—the UK’s leading designer and manufacturer of innovative wallcoverings.

Key Responsibilities
• Answer creative briefs with on-trend artwork that is innovative, brand-right and commercially focused.
• Basic knowledge of seamless repeat patterns, colourways and production-ready files in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Research global interiors, fashion and cultural trends, pitching fresh concepts for each brand.
• Maintain exceptional hand-drawing and painting skills to keep originality at the heart of every design.
• Balance creativity with market awareness—designing for specific customers, price points and substrates.
• Liaise with manufacturing teams to understand materials, processes and innovation opportunities.
• Contribute to a collaborative culture of curiosity, experimentation and continuous improvement.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Essential
• BA (Hons) in Surface Pattern, Textiles, Illustration or similar—and a diverse, inspiring portfolio.
• Confident user of Adobe Illustrator & Photoshop with a keenness to broaden CAD skills.
• Strong colour sense, trend awareness and passion for home-décor design.
• Organised, proactive communicator who thrives in a collaborative, fast-moving environment.
• Eager to learn, experiment and grow within a leading interiors group.
Desirable
• Previous experience in a commercial surface-print or homewares studio.
• Familiarity with production processes for wallcoverings, textiles or other printed substrates.
