We're now looking for a talented Textile Print Designer to join our womenswear team on a maternity cover contract.
The Role:
As a Textile Print Designer at French Connection, you will be responsible for creating bold, original, and unique textile prints that reflect the brand’s unique identity as well as driving seasonal colour palettes.
Working closely with the Head of Design, you’ll bring fresh energy to our seasonal collections, from initial concept through to final production-ready artwork.
Key Responsibilities:
Research seasonal trends, colours, and print direction in line with the brand’s aesthetic
Responsible for building colour palettes, right through from research including shopping relevant samples, colour matching and approving lab dips
Create original, innovative all-over and placement print artworks for womenswear collections. Thinking about category balance, covering best sellers and championing new trends
Develop and finalise print artworks (repeat and placement) for sampling and production
Collaborate closely with the design team to ensure cohesive integration of prints across product ranges
Liaise with country offices to ensure accurate execution of designs
Maintain organised print libraries and digital files
Attend fittings and contribute to print-related decision-making throughout the development process
About You:
A minimum of 5 years' experience in textile or print design within the fashion industry
A strong, commercial portfolio showcasing an excellent eye for colour, print layout, and trend relevance
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator
Experience in creating seamless repeats, colour separations, and print specs for production
A collaborative, positive, and proactive approach
