Collaborating with brands positioned at the high end of the market requires exceptional service, guaranteeing the highest quality and innovation without compromise. Recently, the company chose to rely on Epson’s digital textile printing technology to continue to guarantee high quality and extreme flexibility for its customers.

Michele Fosano, Production Manager at ISA S.P.A explained.

“ISA S.p.A. works with brands at the high end of the market where the demand for print quality and fabric performance is very high. We consider Epson Monna Lisa a reliable partner that perfectly suits our printing needs, meeting three fundamental requirements. Innovative technology in the printheads presents high precision; the inks fully meet the market’s demands.

From a chromatic point of view, they present very bright and vivid tones; from a solidity point of view, and therefore of performance, they are among the best that can be found on the market. A further point is the machine’s flexibility: today, we have to manage micro- sampling batches and, therefore, very small meterage: from a strip to one metre to ten metres. But also very large production batches that can reach up to four or five thousand metres.

As regards sustainability, one of the elements that attracted us the most is that the technologies are GOTS Ecopass certified. In addition, the new packaging of the ink set, with a 10l capacity, represents a step forward not only from a production point of view but also from an ecological one.

Setting up the machine is much easier to handle, whatever the case may be. The types of designs that we process in our ink office and subsequently print in the digital printing department are very varied and depend on the type of application. Each one has very different specifications. The tie world, for example, requires small, well-defined patterns, so one of the key requirements is printing precision. In clothing, we work with very large masses so the distribution of colour must be done evenly over the entire fabric surface.

A different matter is the printing of yokes (i.e. the squares of fabric that in shirts or other garments cover the shoulders, descending equally on the chest and back, down to below the sleeve attachment. In this case, it is necessary to ensure excellent definition on the front side and excellent transfer on the reverse side.

“At the moment, thanks to the Epson Monna Lisa printing technology, we can better respond to these specific market demands because the machine ensures better drop management and allows us to calibrate with extreme precision the amount of dye that is impressed on the substrate while maintaining excellent print definition.”

Mila Zegna Baruffa Ceo of ISA S.P.S concluded

“Our made-to-measure approach means that each product is made to the customer’s needs. The history and know-how we have acquired over the years, our innovative approach and the creativity and stimuli our customers offer enable us to keep the bar high. Every application, be it a garment fabric or a textile accessory, right up to the finished product (which is the last to come out), is connected by this common thread that stands us apart and allows us to guarantee a customised, all-round service.”
