Gonzo Design Invests In Fujifilm's Acuity Triton To Boost Sustainability And Print Quality

Ratingen, Germany – October 2026 – Gonzo Design, a full-service advertising specialist covering textile printing, digital printing, signage and vehicle lettering, has invested in Fujifilm's Acuity Triton large-format UV inkjet printer featuring Aquafuze ink technology.

The move marks a significant step in the company's drive to raise print quality, broaden application versatility and improve air quality within its production facility.

Gonzo Design had been searching for an energy-efficient alternative to traditional solvent-based printing systems, one that could deliver on performance without compromising the wellbeing of its production teams.

Following a live demonstration at Fujifilm's European headquarters in Ratingen, Germany, the company confirmed its decision to adopt the Acuity Triton.

According to Gonzo Design, the printer's water-based UV technology has already resulted in a marked reduction in odours and a noticeably improved working environment on the production floor.

The Acuity Triton is now central to Gonzo Design's output of self-adhesive films and both indoor and outdoor banners, with plans to extend its use to transparent decorative materials, textiles and wallpaper in the near future.

Production manager Jan Henrich highlighted the operational benefits the new system has delivered. "With the Acuity Triton, we can replace latex and solvent printers and produce the same applications more efficiently and in better quality," he said. He added that the technology has also enhanced the processing of vehicle films, as calendered films can now be printed without the heat-related shrinkage issues that previously posed a challenge.

Chelsea Carter, Head of Wide Format Marketing at Fujifilm, welcomed the partnership as a reflection of a wider industry shift towards more responsible production practices. "Gonzo Design is an excellent example of a print service provider looking to improve both production output and their working environment," she said.

The investment underscores a growing momentum across the print industry, as providers increasingly seek technologies that deliver both commercial performance and meaningful environmental and workplace improvements.

By moving away from solvent-based systems, Gonzo Design is positioning itself at the forefront of this shift, demonstrating that quality, efficiency and sustainability can be achieved in tandem.
